Introduction NB Systems is a South African based software solutions  company established in 1997 that specializes in the  development, implementation, training and support of the  Water Administration System (WAS).  WAS is used for  water distribution management on irrigation schemes  through canal networks and for the calculation of dam  operating procedures for a given downstream demand.  NB Systems is active in various water research projects  funded by the Water Research Commission (WRC) and  some of the software developed by NB Systems is based  on the outcome of that research.
