Water release module This module links with the water order module and calculates water releases into  canals (including secondary canals) and rivers allowing for lag times, water losses and  accruals.  The schematic layout of the canal network or river system is captured with  detail such as the cross-sectional properties, position of abstractions, channel slope  and channel capacities.  Discharges are converted to the corresponding measuring  plate readings using discharge tables where possible.  Water distribution sheets can be  generated for canal networks.
